He born in January 5, 1941.
After Gakushuin University graduation, it is entered the company by Toei animation.
He is engaged as the staff such as "great adventure of solar prince Horus", but retire from his job.
He was in charge of direction of "Lupin the Third".
Transfer to a zuiyoh picture (existing Japan animation) ,he produce"Alpine girl Haizi""visit mother, and produce 3000 villages".
He supervised "The Castle of Cagliostro" for the first time.
He supervise "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" which made a big hit in 1984.
"Castle in the Sky", "My Neighbor Totoro" "Kiki's Delivery Service" "Porco Rosso" "Spirited Away" of a witch" "Howl's Moving Castle" and a hit product.
"Spirited Away" won the 52nd Berlin International Film Festival (Golden Bear prize), the 75th Academy Award (long piece animation prize), association of NY critic prize (cartoon film prize), Japanese Academy Award (the best work prize), and it was carved in one page of the history of animation.
It is one of the supervisors looked forward to a work in future.
